Happy Birthday to Ellsworth Kelly, who was born today in 1923! Pictured here is ‘Red Yellow Blue White’ from 1952, which Kelly gave to the Museum last year in memory of our late director Anne d’Harnoncourt. Made in four colors of fabric, it’s representative of Kelly’s early explorations into abstraction. The colors also resonate with our newly bloomed Sol LeWitt garden.
